Program Manager


The Program Manager position is responsible for successfully delivering client projects on-time and on budget according to the defined scope, timeline, and cost.  Responsibilities include driving cross-functional teams to establish an integrated schedule, collaborating to gather technical requirements, and driving resolution of cross-functional issues. The Program Manager collaborates with Operations, Technology Team, Assessment Design and Psychometrics, Scoring Services, Publishing, Marketing, Sales and external partners as required. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level customer service to client
  • Manage project timelines according to scope, monitoring critical path activities and anticipate/mitigate roadblocks to meeting deliverable deadlines
  • Communicate continually with internal team members and external client contacts
  • Facilitate client and internal meetings, documenting program status and issues to ensure all stakeholders needs are being met and communicated
  • Ensure client deliverables/assets are being submitted and organized
  • Complete formalized risk management processes, forecast project risks, and communicate those to key company resources
  • Coordinate work of project management team members, as appropriate to size of project
  • Escalate issues as necessary to senior program manager/director and cross-departmental resources

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a project management role
  • Strong knowledge of Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Experience in the education or assessment industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of the K-12 education assessment industry (e.g., common core standards, competitors, RFP process)
  • PMP certification
