Senior Program Manager


The Senior Program Manager will be for responsible leading a team of program management professionals and ensuring the team successfully delivers client and company projects on-time and on budget according to the defined scope, timeline, and cost.  The activities include supporting and driving cross-functional teams to establish an integrated schedule and drive resolution of cross-functional issues. The program manager will need to collaborate with Operations, IT, Assessment Development, Hand Scoring, Research and Development, Publishing, Marketing, Sales and external partners as required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level of customer service to client
  • Ensure deadlines are being met by project team and client
  • Manage multiple project timelines according to scope
  • Communicate continually with internal team members and external client contacts about program status
  • Lead a project management team, providing ongoing support throughout projects
  • Ensure appropriate reporting of information to internal teams and external client resources
  • Tracking designated metrics for the program management team
  • Design, implement, and audit formalized risk management processes, forecast project risks, and communicate those to key company resources
  • Coordinate cross-departmental schedules across multiple projects and anticipate technical roadblocks and challenges
  • Flag and monitor critical path activities related to assigned programs
  • Communicate regularly with all levels of the organization
  • Support cooperative communications and facilitate cross-departmental teamwork for program implementation and maintenance
  • Design, implement, and audit formalized program review documentation for large-scale products and programs
  • Lead solution discussions cross-departmentally and identify solutions that are in the best interest of both the client and the Questar organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline
  • Graduate degree a plus
  • PMP Certification
  • Minimum 5-7+ years experience in a program manager role
  • Previous experience with personnel management
  • Strong knowledge of Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project
  • Experience with start up programs in the educational and/or assessment industry
